1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SaasCrisp at saascrisp.com (the "Site"), operated by FlowConverts ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Site in any way - including browsing the gallery, submitting a site, or subscribing to the newsletter - you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site. We may update these Terms at any time - see Section 14 for how changes are communicated.

2. What SaasCrisp Is

SaasCrisp is a curated SaaS design intelligence database. We collect, score, and annotate SaaS websites using the CRISP framework - a five-dimension evaluation system covering Contextual, Responsive, Intelligent, Seamless, and Powerful design qualities.

The Site is an editorial and informational resource. CRISP scores and annotations are opinions - they are not professional audits, legal advice, financial advice, or endorsements of any kind. See Section 8 for the full disclaimer on scores.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 years old if you are in the EU/EEA) to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Site on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

4. Site Submissions

4.1 Submission Process

Any visitor may submit a SaaS website for potential inclusion in the SaasCrisp gallery via the submission form at saascrisp.com/submit. Submission does not guarantee inclusion. We review all submissions and retain full editorial discretion over which sites we feature, score, or publish.

4.2 License Grant

By submitting a website URL, you grant SaasCrisp a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual license to:

  • Access, crawl, and analyse the submitted website
  • Capture and store screenshots of the submitted website
  • Generate, display, and publish CRISP scores and editorial annotations about the site
  • Display the site's name, URL, screenshots, and scores in our gallery
  • Include the site in our newsletter, social media, and other marketing materials

If you are submitting a website that you own or have authority over, you represent that you have the right to grant this license. If you are submitting a third-party website (e.g. a competitor's site or a site you admire), you warrant that public indexing and editorial commentary on that site is lawful in your jurisdiction.

4.3 Right of Removal

If you are the owner of a site listed in our gallery and wish to have it removed, email us at hello@saascrisp.com with verification of ownership. We will review removal requests within 10 business days. We reserve the right to decline removal requests where there is a clear legitimate interest in maintaining the editorial record (e.g. historical design benchmarking data). However, we will act promptly where a legal obligation requires removal.

4.4 Prohibited Submissions

You must not submit a website that:

  • Contains or promotes illegal content, including content that violates intellectual property law
  • Is a phishing site, malware distribution site, or otherwise harmful to visitors
  • You do not have the right to submit for editorial review
  • You submit in bad faith (e.g. to manipulate scores or spam the review queue)

We reserve the right to reject, remove, or flag any submission at our sole discretion and to report abusive submissions to relevant authorities.

5. Newsletter

By subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to receive weekly email communications from SaasCrisp about SaaS design, new gallery entries, and related content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email. Unsubscribing will remove you from our list within 24 hours.

We will not share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is handled.

6. Acceptable Use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site in bulk without our written permission
  • Use automated tools to submit content, create accounts, or interact with the Site in a way that degrades performance for other users
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, including the admin panel
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce the Site's design scoring methodology, database, or editorial content for a competing service without permission
  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law, including data protection, intellectual property, or anti-spam law
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information

We reserve the right to suspend access for any user or IP address that violates these rules without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

All content on SaasCrisp that we have created - including CRISP scores, annotations, the CRISP framework description, site copy, design, code, and editorial commentary - is owned by FlowConverts and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from our original content without express written permission.

Brief quotations and links for commentary, criticism, or news reporting purposes are permitted under fair use/fair dealing, provided you clearly attribute SaasCrisp.

7.2 Third-Party Content

Screenshots of third-party websites displayed in our gallery are the intellectual property of their respective owners. SaasCrisp displays this content under editorial and fair use principles for the purpose of design commentary and analysis. If you are a rights holder and believe our use of your content infringes your rights, see Section 9 (Copyright and DMCA).

7.3 Trademarks

"SaasCrisp", "CRISP", and "FlowConverts" are trademarks of FlowConverts. You may not use them in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation without our written consent.

8. CRISP Scores - Disclaimer

CRISP scores and annotations are editorial opinions generated using a combination of AI analysis (Anthropic Claude) and human review. They reflect our assessment of a website's design quality against the CRISP framework at a specific point in time.

CRISP scores are not:

  • Professional design audits or certified accessibility assessments
  • Legal opinions on compliance with WCAG, ADA, or any other standard
  • Financial or business advice
  • Endorsements of the scored company's products, services, or business practices
  • Guaranteed to be free from error - AI analysis can make mistakes

A high CRISP score does not mean a site is legally compliant, profitable, or recommended. A low score does not imply that a site is defective or unfit for purpose. Scores reflect design quality only, as evaluated under our framework.

If you believe your site's score contains a factual error (as opposed to a difference of opinion), email us at hello@saascrisp.com and we will review it.

9. Copyright Notices and Takedowns

We respect intellectual property rights and take copyright infringement seriously under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (UK) and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions. If you believe that content on SaasCrisp infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to hello@saascrisp.com with the following:

  • Your name and contact information
  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
  • The URL(s) on our Site where the allegedly infringing material appears
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law
  • A statement confirming the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

We will investigate valid notices and respond within 10 business days. Repeat infringers may have access to the Site terminated.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site contains links to third-party websites and displays screenshots of third-party websites. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party site. Visiting a linked site is at your own risk. You should review the terms and privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content on the Site, including CRISP scores and annotations.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FLOWCONVERTS, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE - INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION - EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50. SINCE SAASCRISP IS FREE TO USE, THIS MEANS OUR LIABILITY TO YOU IS CAPPED AT USD $50 IN ALL BUT EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES.

These limitations apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FlowConverts and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site in violation of these Terms; (b) any content you submit to the Site; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify newsletter subscribers by email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at hello@saascrisp.com. If informal resolution fails within 30 days, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer located in the EU, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law, including the right to bring a claim before the courts of your country of residence. If you are a consumer in the UK, your statutory rights under UK consumer law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015) are not affected by these Terms.

16. General

  • Entire agreement - These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SaasCrisp regarding use of the Site.
  • Severability - If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
  • No waiver - Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
  • Assignment - We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent.
